Her story is now well known: she's a pioneering dj in more ways than one. In her early days, at the very end of the 90s, too few girls had yet taken possession of the turntables, even though there was no rule anywhere, written or oral, that DJing had to be a male profession: it wasn't. And Chloé was one of the first of her generation to make us hear this. Chloé was one of the first of her generation to make us hear this. And it's no coincidence that her trajectory accompanied that of a club, Le Pulp, for whom dancing and getting together was also a matter of politics and militancy, particularly around issues linked to minorities, whatever they may be. From Paris (at Pulp, but also at the Rex where she has her residence) and from there all over the world, in the most important clubs, Chloé has worked to thwart expectations and always surprise: each set telling a story as much about ecstatic pleasure as about the sweet melancholy of early mornings returning from raves. Chloé then released her first two albums: The Waiting Room in 2007, and One in Other in 2010 (released on the late Kill The DJ label) under the name Chloé. These are not exactly records to be played in clubs, by djs, but more electronic self-portraits. Chloé presented them as “pas-de-côté”. This soon became a habit with her: everything with Chloé is about displacement, unexpected angles to look at the dancefloor, then the audience, then the spectators, then society and our lives, from a newer, more open angle.
